2 x Milk Plus: This is the one beer I think we could advertise like a luxury sedan from the 1990s, maybe a Jaguar or something. This rich, and creamy milk stout is the daddy and mommy version of all of our milk stouts - we make a large batch of this beer using double mashing techniques we picked up with our imperial stout brewing experimentations and the results are brilliant. It contains lactose but is essentially adjunct free and I regularly find it ranked amongst our closest customers' favourite beers. 6.5% is grown-up enough to warrant abv respect but it is easily drinkable by the pint/can - notes of coffee and dark chocolate the experience of which changes delightfully as it warms up in the glass.
2 x Milk Plus Milk: Malted Milk Biscuits Milk Stout. Full disclosure - this idea came from the design room. When making logos and label designs for Milk Plus I was playing around with the words and laughed a little to myself when it could reed milk plus milk plus milk over and over again. The next step was dipping some of the team’s secret biscuit stash in a glass of Milk Plus (which was lovely) - before doing a homebrew experiment over the weekend. This has added vanilla pods to amp things up a bit but overall this isa just a thicker, fuller and sweeter milk stout than its more grown-up cousin and I am super excited to get customers drinking it.
2 x Mayo: This is the first return of this beer after work inexplicably became the official beer provider for the 2019 St Patrick’s Day Parade in Birmingham (the second largest in the world after New York!) - having taken lessons from beers as successful and Judge Doom Slays Eddie (4.31 on Untappd) we have actually worked down the abv's on dark beers to this and the results are a soft, roasty beer that drinks and drinks and drinks. Personally, I have turned to the dark side the past few months and while this one is still in the tank it is my 100% go to end of shift beer with the team.
